Crop Image to 21:9
Crop any photo to an ultrawide 21:9 cinematic shape — from the center, at its original resolution — in your browser. No upload, no signup.

Output: a 21:9 ultrawide crop at the largest size your photo allows (for example, a 4000 x 3000 px photo becomes 4000 x 1714 px, and a 2520 x 1080 px photo stays 2520 x 1080 px). Choose JPG or PNG below.
Center crop only for now — the 21:9 shape is cut from the center of the image. Nothing is stretched and nothing is resized: a very wide photo loses its left and right edges and a tall photo loses its top and bottom. If your subject is off-center, crop it in the Editor first.

Why crop to 21:9?
A 21:9 ultrawide shape is the cinematic movie-screen shape — the same wide look used for film stills, ultrawide monitor wallpapers, and phone wallpapers. Cropping first — instead of letting an app stretch or auto-crop your photo — keeps your subject exactly where you want it, and keeping the original resolution means the ultrawide crop stays as sharp as the photo you started with.
Frequently asked questions
Is my photo uploaded?
No. Cropping runs on your device, in your browser.
Will my photo be stretched or resized?
No. A 21:9 shape is cut from the center at full resolution. Use the Image Cropper for other ratios such as 1:1, 4:3, or 16:9.
What size will the 21:9 crop be?
It is the largest 21:9 shape that fits inside your photo: a 4000 x 3000 px photo becomes 4000 x 1714 px, a 1920 x 1080 px photo becomes 1920 x 823 px, and a 1080 x 1920 px photo becomes 1080 x 463 px (462.9 px rounded to a whole pixel). A photo that is already 21:9, such as 2520 x 1080 px, stays unchanged. The result is never enlarged.
Should I pick JPG or PNG?
JPG for photos you will share or post — smaller files. PNG if you need transparency kept, or a lossless copy; PNG files are larger. For format differences, see the JPG vs PNG vs WebP guide.
Is a 2560 x 1080 monitor the same as 21:9?
Almost, but not exactly: 2560 x 1080 is a 64:27 shape, slightly wider than true 21:9, so a 2560 x 1080 photo cropped here becomes 2520 x 1080 px. The difference is tiny, and the result still fills an ultrawide screen.
