Output: exactly 1080 x 1350 px, JPG.
Center crop for now — a 1080:1350 rectangle is cut from the center of the image, then resized to 1080 x 1350 px. Nothing is stretched. If your photo is smaller than 1080 x 1350 px, it is enlarged to 1080 x 1350 px, which does not add detail.

Why 1080 x 1350?
1080 x 1350 pixels is Instagram's recommended portrait post size: a 4:5 rectangle that fills more of the feed than a square post, so it stands out while scrolling. It is the tallest shape Instagram shows in full in the feed — anything taller gets cropped back. See also our guide: Best Image Sizes for Social Media. If you want the same 4:5 shape at full resolution instead of an exact pixel size, use our Crop to 4:5 page; for all sizes at once, see All Platform Sizes.
Frequently asked questions
Is my photo uploaded?
No. Resizing runs on your device, in your browser.
Will my photo be stretched?
No. A 1080:1350 rectangle is cut from the center first, then resized — so a wide photo loses its left and right sides, and a very tall photo loses its top and bottom. If your subject is off-center, crop it to a portrait shape first.
What if my photo is smaller than 1080 x 1350 px?
It is enlarged to 1080 x 1350 px. Enlarging does not add detail, so a very small original will still look soft — it just meets the size requirement.
What is the difference from Crop to 4:5?
Both use the same 4:5 shape, but this page forces the exact size 1080 x 1350 px, while Crop to 4:5 keeps the photo's original resolution and only changes its shape.
Why does my portrait post look cropped in the feed?
Instagram shows portrait posts at 4:5 in the feed. If the photo you uploaded was taller than 4:5, Instagram cropped its top and bottom. A 1080 x 1350 file from this tool already matches that shape, so it is shown in full.
What if the file is too large to upload?
A 1080 x 1350 JPG from this tool is usually small, but a very detailed photo can still be heavy — in that case run the result through our Compressor or the Compress to 200KB page first, then upload.
